Alexis M. Becker
Alexis is a Director at Carleton McKenna & Company and a member of the firm’s senior management team. She leads the execution of sell-side M&A transactions, advising clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, from initial preparation and positioning through marketing, negotiations, due diligence and closing.
Alexis plays an active role in the firm’s business development efforts and in cultivating relationships with business owners, private equity firms, strategic acquirers and other transaction partners.
She has significant experience advising founder-, family- and closely held businesses through sale and transition processes. She works closely with business owners to understand their personal and financial objectives, position their companies for the market, identify and evaluate potential partners, and navigate the complexities of a transaction. Her transaction experience spans a variety of industries, with particular experience across Consumer and Food & Beverage, Manufacturing and Industrial, Business Services, and Technology-Enabled Services.
Prior to joining Carleton McKenna, Alexis worked in project management at Akron-based marketing firm WhiteSpace Creative, where she focused on comprehensive, multi-channel campaigns and strategic planning. Her work included leading a multidisciplinary team of designers and copywriters whose campaign earned a Gold ADDY Award at the 2017 American Advertising Awards.
Alexis earned her M.B.A. from Baldwin Wallace University, where she also serves as an adjunct professor teaching graduate-level coursework in mergers and acquisitions. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Spanish, from the Honors Program at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where she also played on the women’s soccer team.
Outside the office, Alexis remains an active soccer player and an avid Premier League fan. She has studied enology and holds the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 Award in Wines.
