Mr. Gelfand is the Managing Member of The Gelfand Group LLC (“TGG”), an independent firm that provides investment banking services to privately held, entrepreneurial companies. TGG’s experience includes advising on the sale of businesses, strategic acquisitions, business valuations, and related corporate finance matters.

Since 2020, Mr. Gelfand has been a Managing Director of Carleton McKenna & Co. (“CM&Co.”). CM&Co. provides investment banking services including M&A advisory, capital raising, and pre-transition advisory services for business owners undergoing critical transitions. At CM&Co, Mr. Gelfand co-manages select sell side engagements in which the combined resources of TGG and CM&Co provides a superior outcome for the client.

Prior to organizing TGG and affiliating with CM&Co., Mr. Gelfand was affiliated with Bruml Capital Corporation (“BCC”). Bruml Capital Corporation is also an independent investment banking firm that provides similar services to similar markets as TGG. Mr. Gelfand joined BCC in 1989 as a Vice President, became a principal in 1991, manager of the Valuation Services Group in 1995, and Senior Vice President in 2006.

At both TGG and BCC, Mr. Gelfand has managed or co-managed numerous buy-side, sell-side, corporate finance, and valuation engagements for companies involved in a wide variety of industries including basic manufacturing, metals, wholesale distribution, food processing and marketing, consumer, financial services, and service businesses.
